Marisa Baldine is an artist born and raised in Washington, D.C. She grew up watching her mom create custom rugs in her interior design shop. As a young adult she chose a different path, working in environmental education and conservation. Her career has come full circle, now working as an artist that combines her love of nature and art.

Her love for the plants and creatures of the Mid-Atlantic is apparent in her work, often depicting critically important species.

Marisa specializes in creating handmade block prints. Each print is designed, carved, inked and pressed by hand on a selection of carefully curated papers. Using materials from her garden and local farms, she also creates one of a kind dried flower creations as well as original illustrations and paintings.
